This is one of the best recipes we have got to know about the dish "Momos Recipe." This article has been published to give the viewers a recipe for this wonderful as well as tasteful dish. This blog is being written in the simplest manner by converting each ingredient into a step so that the viewers can follow the recipe easily.

Note: There is one thing to keep in mind: the amount of ingredients added in the recipe below subjects to the amount of flour. If you are taking a small amount of flour in making dough, you might need to adjust your other ingredients as well.

Ingredients:

Flour.
Egg.
Salt.
Cooking oil.
Onion.
Garlic.
Chopped vegetables, i.e., carrots, cabbage.
Ginger.
Green chili.
Vinegar, soy sauce.

Step-by-step recipe:

At first, we will prepare a dough.

Step 1: First, get a bowl and add 2 cups of flour. You can change the amount of flour if you wish, but keep in mind that if you use more or less than 2 cups, you'll need to adjust the other ingredients accordingly.

Step 2: After that, add 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the mixture.

Step 3: Add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil to it. This is added just to get the dough together (optional).

Step 4: Add 1 egg.

Step 5: Add 3/4 cup of water. This subjects to the flour being not too sticky as well as not too dry.

Step 6: Now, mix all the ingredients present in the bowl and make sure that the dough is neither too sticky nor too dry.

Step 7: Wrap the dough in your preferred and suitable cover (it can be a plastic wrap or whatever) and then put it aside for about 30 minutes so that it becomes smooth.

Let’s get started on the momo filling now.

Step 8: Place a pan on the stove and set it to medium heat.

Step 9: Add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil to the pan.

Step 10: Include 2-3 garlic cloves. You can use an equal amount of garlic paste instead.

Step 11: Add 1 inch of minced ginger. If you prefer, you can substitute it with an equal amount of ginger in paste.

Step 12: For a bit of spice, add 1 chopped green chili.

Step 13: Mix in 1 cup of diced vegetables, such as carrots, cabbage, and an onion.

Step 14: Let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Step 15: Stir in 1 tablespoon of soy sauce.

Step 16: Add in 1 teaspoon of vinegar.

Step 17: Season with a pinch of salt according to your taste.

Step 18: Cook the mixture for an additional 2-3 minutes. When the veggies are tender, turn off the heat and allow them to cool for a few minutes.

Next, we’ll shape the round momos (stuffed dumplings).

Step 19: Take the dough and roll it out to the right thickness, ensuring it’s not too thin for momos.

Step 20: Use a round cutter to cut out circles, or you can roll small balls into thin circles.

Step 21: Place 1 teaspoon of filling on each circle.

Step 22: Fold the dough over to form a half-moon shape, ensuring the edges are sealed tightly to prevent any filling from leaking out.

Step 23: Pinch the ends of the half-moon together to create a nice rounded shape.

Step 24: Lightly grease the steamer tray.

Step 25: Steam the momos for about 10-12 minutes, making sure they don’t touch each other.

Last Step: Remove the momos from the steamer and serve them with tomato sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
